Why should you race the Cat Caper 5K?
How about:

  • Chip timed for all participants
  • USATF-certified 5K course
  • High quality technical shirts
  • Beautiful but challenging course
  • Special awards for top 3 men and women in each division
  • Age group awards
  • Running and walking divisions

The Seventh Annual Cat Caper 5K walk/run will be held at the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI) in the Ravine district of Clintonville (470 Glenmont Avenue) on Sunday, September 25th, 2011.

With support from our Featured Sponsor, Aire-Flo, and benefiting the Cat Welfare Association, this fun-filled day will start with race day registration at 7:00 a.m., followed by the Kids Fun Run (ages 12 and under) at 8:30 a.m. The 5K itself starts at 9:00 a.m.

There will be vendors, the Catique shop, and a chance to meet some of the cats from the shelter. And back by popular demand, there will be a post race raffle and a pancake breakfast! At the Kids Fun run, each child who completes the race will get an award.

Dogs can share in the fun too! Leashed and friendly dogs are welcome to attend and race alongside their owners. Each participant in the 5K will receive a t-shirt (first 350 participants), a goodie bag with special offers from race sponsors, refreshments from our sponsors, and one raffle ticket. There will be awards for the top 3 male and female runners and walkers as well as age group winners. Registration is $5 for the Kids Fun Run and $25 for the 5K through September 11, then $30 through September 24, going up to $35 if you wait until the day of the race. You can contact the race committee chair, Laura Modisette, at catcaper2011@gmail.com and watch for updates about the event on this site and at the Cat Welfare Association website.

For those not wanting to race but still wanting to participate, you can be a Cat Napper! You can see about being a Cat Napper here.

We hope to see you there!
